Political Censorship vs Political Interference

On the 4th of January I posted a 30 second bit, having a sneaky crack at the IDU, The Global Alliance of the Centre Right. Resulting in a immediate community violation, stating I was temporarily suspended until March 8th 2034. The appeal has been denied, because the 180 days appeal period has ended, the video was only days old.

My friend in New Zealand posted my video and did not receive a violation

I submitted a ticket with concerns

Melissa Wells Senate Candidate for Braddon posted. She received a community violation but won her appeal.

It's obviously a coincidence Ella used to be employed by the Tasmanian Liberal Government

On February 1st 2024, I was an independent candidate for Legislative Council, same time last year, I lost my tiktok account when I attempted to challenge Eric Abetz. I included Sunita Bose and Jennifer Duxbury from Digital Industry Group Inc, who host the signatory platforms.

There is still uncertainty about whether Bradley James Stansfield is the same individual as Brad Stansfield from Font PR. However, a person with that name is listed as the 93rd member of the Liberal Party of Australia, Tasmanian Division.

There is obviously an issue here, so I start the complaints process over at digi.

Melissa Wells  Senate Candidate Calls for Overhaul of Lobby Register Guidelines

Tasmania Now is demanding a complete overhaul of federal and state lobbying register guidelines to restore transparency and accountability in decision-making processes. Current frameworks fail to provide the public with meaningful insight into the influence of private interests on political campaigns.

"The existing lobbying registers are inadequate, outdated, and riddled with loopholes. They serve more as a facade than a genuine safeguard against undue influence," said Melissa Wells

Key reforms being proposed include:

1. Real-Time Reporting: Mandating that all lobbying activities are reported within 48 hours, ensuring timely public access to information.

2. Expanded Disclosure: Requiring lobbyists to disclose the specific policies, contracts, or regulations they are seeking to influence.

3. Increased Accessibility: Developing user-friendly online platforms for the public to easily access lobbying data.

4. Enhanced Oversight: Real time monitoring and enforcement compliance with lobbying regulations.

5. Public Interest Safeguards: A mandatory disclosure statement by charity and lobby partners providing political messaging services across all platforms.

"The people of Tasmania, and Australia at large, deserve to know who is shaping their political future that impacts their lives. Without significant reform, public trust in our democratic institutions will continue to erode," Melissa Wells added.

Melissa Wells remains committed to rooting out corruption and ensuring that government decisions reflect the interests of the community, not powerful vested interests.
